Qualifications

I am a registered psychotherapist with the British Association for Group Psyhcotherapy (BACP) and a certified group psychotherapist from the Egyptian Association for Group Therapy and Processes (EAGT). I completed my MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Keele University in the UK and a diploma in integrative group psychotherapy from the EAGT. I've also received intensive training in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), grief counselling, emotionally-focused therapy (externship) and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for OCD and anxiety disorders.

I hold space for my clients which facilitates their growth and healing.

Experience

I've practiced in multiple settings in the UK, India and Egypt. I provided grief and bereavement counselling at the Douglass Macmillan Hospice and worked with victims of domestic violence at The Haven Refuge in the UK. I was a high school counsellor at an international school in Cairo for three years and I've practiced in private centres in Cairo. I also delivered tens of self-reflection and self-development workshops for adolescents, and received training at Abbassia Mental Health Hospital and Adel Sadek Hospital. I currently provide individual therapy and group psychotherapy for adolescents and adults in English and Arabic. The sessions are online or in-person at Heal Counselling Center, Cairo.
